Soccer 101!

Soccer for a 20-month old!  I know what you are thinking - we aren't expecting Lyla to understand the fundamentals folks - it's all about Lyla running around and having a good time - that's the name of this soccer game!
Lyla is a FANTASTIC listener. No really! It is one of those things she constantly gets praised for. She is so curious and really focuses in on words and what people are saying to her.
Check her out - listening and imitating her Coach!
Intently listening to her coach....
Scoring her first goal...does it count if she threw the ball instead of kicking it :)
Running drills....
Run Lyla Run....
Okay so Lyla became the coaches favorite - maybe I'm a little bias - but she was the one child showing him love :) She knows how to work it - haha!
Guess who is intently listening again...okay one might say "staring"...maybe we need to teach her it's not polite to stare!!
Not close enough...she had to keep inching closer to all the action...
Proud daddy over-looking his daughter volley the ball....okay not really...but it sure does look like she knows what she is doing!
Silly Lyla there's no hands in soccer...
Mommy's turn to get in on the action...
Putting me to work...
Kissing up to coach yet again :)
Smile = Success!
Whew...taking a quick break!
Now that is one happy girl!
Why is Lyla the only child running mad...she is such a goof troop!
Team Cheer....
1,2,3.....Gooooo TEAM!!!
Lyla towered over all those boys and yep I'll be the proud parent that says it....she was the most athletic one of the bunch too!

I got the day wrong so Lyla had to fly solo without Tyson....but it's a darn good thing Tyson is in her class - the 2 of them can show the rest of the kids how it's done next week - watch out now!!!!

Oh and how dare I forget to mention Lyla's wrist band on her arm....that was all daddy...and he is trying to find her a headband for next week :)

what a wonderful story for her to read when she gets older and looks back at what she was doing when she was 21 months. She will laugh and you will cry that she is getting so big and enjoys reading and seeing all the things you have written. Love mom
