4th of July weekend!

Our last trip before Baby Boy arrives!
We headed to Ohio so Josie could show Lyla her big new house in her fabulous new neighborhood...among lots of other things planned for the long holiday weekend.

I should have known I didn't need to pack anything for Lyla...Grandma had a goodie bag in hand when we arrived with matching outfits for the girls and toys alike.  Grandma is smart....she knows to buy double with 2 very active and opinionated grand-daughters.

The weekend got off to a fabulous start with a visit to Coney Island.  With not one doubt about how Lyla would do on the rides...if Josie was by her side it was sure to be a good time for all.

So here we go...a little timid...

Wee....
Onto the turtles....do I really need to expand...check out those faces!!!!
Up, up and away....

Hold on tight Lyla :)
After riding every toddler ride there it was time to take a break!
We managed to get one picture of the girls looking at the camera...a miracle.  You see they are more concerned with one another!!!
Grabbing a quick smooch!
I love this picture.  Check out our faces :)
The next day the girls were in for a treat.  Reason #1,324,746 that the Schneider Family made the right choice when moving.  Their neighborhood is SO kid friendly!  For the 4th, the neighborhood all gets together for a parade - for the kids - that ends with one rockin' BBQ pool party.  Ummmm can it get any better!
Oh yeah the kids get to follow a fire truck - so much fun for the kids!
So it begins...everyone lines up and follows the fire truck down the street...
At the end you arrive at the pool party house....
Chillin' pool side with DD...
I don't believe it can get better than eating a peach on a 90 degree day in a red, white and blue bikini, pool side on the 4th of July...
Juices dripping down her belly....that's okay Lyla you can rinse it off in the pool!!!
After nap time and before dinner a little hopscotch was in order...
And a little marching...
And a little playing catch...
And a little bike ride....which I must add how fabulous Josie was with sharing all her toys!  I think it has a little something to do with how much she loves Lyla :)
To conclude the weekend - 2 very dirty girls desperately needed a bath!  It was time to wash off Coney island, sidewalk chalk, dirt, chlorine, peach juice, pizza...

Another one of my favorites...I tackled Josie while Aunt Carri tackled Lyla :):)
What a great weekend!!!   A lot of friends have commented on the threeschneiders.blogspot.com pics and I find myself replying  "We had a great weekend.  The girls have SO much fun together and I can't help but think "what if" after these kind of weekends."  You know the "what if" I am referring too....

Sorry grandma I realized I didn't get one picture of you - boooooo. When you get the girls together you get a break...they don't need much entertaining when they've got one another !!!!!
XOXOXOXO!!!!

Oh and another one of my favorite moments...not captured on camera...was when the Johnson family drove to Coney Island in the same car.  The last time just the 4 of us were in one car...I'd have to say High School.  That was a special treat indeed :)

Awwww, these are great! The "smoochie face" one at Coney made me laugh out loud. That's hilarious! And love the bath pics. I didn't have any of those. Awesome weekend for sure!
And you're killin me with that "what if" talk!!!!

You are killing me too. I have to say got a tear in my eye just looking at the pictures and knowing how much fun everyone had. No worries not getting a picture of grandma I am just thankful we were all together and we had free entertainment the girls can only provide.
