Monday, October 12th Lyla turned 1! It just so happened that her birthday fell on Columbus Day so her Daycare was closed - which gave Michael and I an added push to take the day off and help Lyla celebrate! For her birthday we decided to improve her play area. It was time to put all the baby rattles and baby toys away!!! So Sunday night we put Lyla to bed and played Birthday Claus. We had some work to do before Lyla woke up....

Her new chair won the prize!!! Thank you Grandma and Grand-daddy! Lyla LOVES her new chair...in fact she doesn't play with toys on the floor...she'd rather bring her toys with her in the chair!!!
Next up she checked out her "creative zone"...
After she explored her new play area it was time for breakfast...we treated her to some very special pancakes. If you don't know by now Lyla's nickname is: Lyla Bird.....
So surprised she didn't rip her birthday hat off...

And that concludes Phase 1....coming right up is our day at the Pumpkin Farm!!!!
