11 month updates!!

Another busy month for Lyla Anne. I have a feeling each "monthly update" post is going to start getting longer and longer...it is amazing to see what Lyla learns every day!!!! 1. Favorite new toy is her Dora the Explorer cell phone. She will hold it to her ear and babble back. 2. Signing 2 consecutive words. Example: More Milk 3. Knows where to touch in all her touch and feel books. Example: Will touch the frogs sticky tongue, scratch the bumpy alligator skin, pull the dogs fur.... 4. When reading her a book she finally is turning pages one at a time and stops to study all the pictures and words. 5. Mimicking every tone we make. 6. No more teeth this month - still 4 on top and 2 on bottom 7. Eating everything. Much more dairy (yogurt, cottage cheese), any fruits and veggies, salmon, chicken nuggets, veggie tots, all organic of course:) 8. 2 weeks shy of her 1st birthday we started her on Whole Milk and Sippy Cup. 9. Got her first Skin Virus: Roseola. Started my having a very sudden high fever (103) which was following by a skin rash the next day which lasted almost 5 days. 10. Last week of month she will stand a few seconds without support. 11. Will walk back and forth with alligator clacker over and over and over. 12. Last week of month will walk only holding on with one hand. 13. Out of a box of blocks all different shapes and sizes - she can pick out only the rings and then proceed with stacking them all on the post. (Her favorite thing to do by far) 14. Down to one long late morning nap. 11:00am to 1:00pm or longer 15. Bedtime is now 8:00pm instead of 7:30pm - wakes up every morning at 7:00am on the dot 16. Will point to dad and say - DAD. Will point to mom and say - MOM. 17. In addition to pointing to her Head and Nose - she is now pointing to her belly and mouth. That ought to do it for now :)
