A Mothers Protest

The Austin Family survived the holidays. In fact, it was the best holiday season ever....wonder why:) I am sure everyone is wondering where the update is....well that is because I am officially protesting "the computer."
Why you ask?
I have 2 more weeks before returning to work part-time:( My plan is to start 3 days a week the 3rd and 4th week of January and then back to full-time the first week in February.
I am in COMPLETE denial and must wrap this post up very quickly before the tears start...
So for now I am enjoying TODAY with sweet Lyla - and enjoying every waking moment....make that EVERY second....I may just even stare at her while she sleeps!!!!
So now my "computer" protest begins...
If you "need" more check out:
To know surprise....my sister captioned and summarized our holiday beautifully!!!!

I don't blame you!! I love the last stanza to this poem:

Dusting and cleaning (and computers)
can wait till tomorrow,
for babies grow up,
we've learned to our sorrow.
So quiet down, cobwebs.
Dust go to sleep.
I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep'

Karen Sue couldn't have said it better. Enjoy every minute as you should. With you or not with you she will always know how much she is loved and how special it was for you both to spend all the time you did with her. She has a good good mommy (and daddy) Love Grandma

Seriously Amanda enjoy these times. Someone just told me that all my girls will be out of the house in the next five years! How can that be? I feel like I just had them yesterday! Time really does fly by so enjoy every moment you can. Love the picture. I actually downloaded the one from shutterfly and did some editing. Send me your e-mail address and I will send them to you!

Well sissy, I have to admit that I saw this a couple of days ago & still don't have anything to say that might help. So, I'll just take the honest approach. Going back to work will be hard, and the fact that it's going to be hard is just one of the many signs that you're a wonderful mother. I'm certainly no expert on parenting, but I can tell you I've learned one major lesson so far & that is this - as long as you are doing what is best for your family, you are doing what is right. And there is no one else on earth that can tell you what that is. It's a balance between what's in your head and what's in your heart. It's never easy, and I'll be thinking about you all the way through the process. Trust yourself. I love you!!!

Michael and Mandy,

Lyla is so beautiful. Enjoy and take pictures and video of every monment you can. It goes by so fast. I am doing the same with my grandson Ryan who is now 14 months old and weights 27 lbs. I feel like getting real sentimental, but there isn't enough time, but I do want to say Michael I am so proud of you and love you very much.
