The perfect Chicago weekend - 85 degrees - Sunny - No humidity - we aimed to get out and about and enjoy the summer days. Our weekend started off with some golfing...well I should say with Michael golfing. My accuracy is nothing to speak of...but come on now - give me a break - I am working with a belly ;)
Next up - Fishin' on the Lake - now this is more like it! For those of you that don't know - I absolutely LOVE LOVE fishin'. The Johnson side tradition has been instilled is this gal....I see lots of fishing trips in Baby Austin's future....albeit a girl OR a boy! Over the years Mr. J has taught Michael how to fish....Michael heard me say one to many times "Now remember baby - this is how my daddy-o and Nana do it".
And finally - did you really think this post would be all about us! Sunday afternoon we decided to put up artwork in Baby Austin's room. Michael and I kept going back and forth about artwork. Michael is funny about putting lots of holes in the wall so we found the perfect alternative. It's a sticker tree - but the best part is it is removable and doesn't mess up the paint. Genius!!!!! Here is Michael and his lovely artistry skills....he did such a good job!!!

Looked like you both had the perfect summer weekend. Baby Austin got in the action to because I am sure he or she was smiling when it saw their pretty new nursery that daddy was working so hard on. Love Mom
First of all - that nursery is the cutest I have EVER seen. And I've seen my fair share of nurseries between my pre-baby obsession with the home makeover shows on TLC and all those baby magazines I read when I was pregnant. I LOVE IT! And so will Baby Austin.
Secondly - Baby A is so lucky to have parents who enjoy the great outdoors. I can just see you sitting lakeside with him/her telling tales of fishing with Nana (like the time you fell in the resevoir and ruined your "Squeeze" jeans).
Third - Rather the title of your post was a reference to the Fresh Prince song "Summertime" or not, it will be stuck in my head the rest of the day. ("Every moment frontin & maxin, chillin in the car you spent all day waxin...")
Love you! xoxoxo
If you do want to hang other items in the baby's room and don't want the holes, try this: http://www.dickblick.com/zz573/26/
It's the Magnart display system. A piece attaches to the wall (removable) and then the magnet holds the artwork in place.
Cute room by the way!
